»SINUS for Primary Schools« general information
Primary school teachers develop their teaching skills in mathematics and science in the »SINUS for Primary Schools« programme (2009-2013). Ten federal states in Germany jointly carry out the programme; another five participate as associate members. The programme ends in July 2013.
There are teachers at selected primary schools in the active states who are using the SINUS concept to instruct mathematics and science. This means that they reappraise their lessons with regard to certain typical problem areas. Once they have identified one of these problems as being especially acute at their school, they begin to work on this problem and to tailor their lessons through further development as a team and with the IPN.
Individual aspects of the programme and its organisation may be found among the menu items described on the left.
Documents
During work on the SINUS programme various documents have been developed. The module descriptions (available in German: Modulbeschreibungen) for mathematics and science are the most important documents for participating teachers. Detailed handouts (available in German: Handreichungen) about specific key objectives as well as other material complete the comprehensive range of available information.
